The New Believers’ Class is a programme that every growth-thirsty believer should be willing to attend. It creates a solid foundation which builds up the faith and knowledge base of the new believer; a foundation that is strong enough to withstand both gentle and energetic wind of life targeted at challenging the faith of Christians.

Matthew 7:25 says “and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.” The absence of the type of foundation described in this passage is the reason for failure in the life of many Christians. The forgiveness of sin that brings salvation is not the end of the redemption work. What must follow forgiveness is deliverance from and forbearance of sin and this latter part you can only receive through knowledge.

The knowledge of who you were as an unbeliever and who you are now after your salvation. Lack of this knowledge explains why many believers today are sinning believers and they seem not to have an answer to this question of sin captivity. John 8:32 says “and ye shall know the truth, and it shall set you free”. We, therefore, encourage new believers to enroll and go through the learning to build their faith in God.

The content is contained in the RCCG  Believers class Manual, ordinarily taught over eight lessons, but  for now (recovery phase from COVID-19)will be taught in an abridged form during two meetings of an hour each held in two Saturdays.
